NCTE के हाल ही में किए गए संशोधन के अनुसार त्रिपुरा सरकार ने प्राथमिक शिक्षण के लिए बीएड डिग्रीधारकों को मान्य घोषित कर दिया है। अब बीएड डिग्रीधारक भी प्राथमिकत त्रिपुरा टीचर एलिजिबिलिटी टेस्ट देकर कक्षा 1 से लेकर 5 शिक्षण कार्य कर सकते हैं। इसके लिए उन्हें इस परीक्षा को पास करने के बाद चयनित होने पर 6 महीने का ब्रिज कोर्स और करना होगा। और इसके बाद प्राथमिक शिक्षा में कक्षा 1 से 5 तक पढ़ाने के लिए मान्य हो जाएंगे।
ऐसी B.Ed डिग्री धारक जिनके स्नातक में 50% से अधिक नंबर हैं वे ही प्राथमिक स्तर का त्रिपुरा टीचर एलिजिबिलिटी टेस्ट देने के योग्य होंगे और वही प्राथमिक स्तर पर आवेदन कर सकेंगे।
